Surprisingly a lot of people do lol, I’m powdercoating these ones a different color when the funds make them self available. Not orange though.

Oh no haha, it’s on airlift, it would rub A LOT if I drove at this height haha. This is 0psi (lowest setting). I drive at about 45-50 psi which is 2-3" higher and a lot stiffer.

Are the air bags no compromise or are there areas where the bags have a lot of trade offs versus springs and shocks or coils?

There is a little trade off, obviously they are expensive, if you spent the same money on coils you could get a really great set, but they are awesome for a daily driver that you want to look great parked and still have SOME performance capabilities. I would say they perform along the lines of a middle of the road set of coil overs.

Dang nice Forester! Is it an XT or nah? I’ve always been more of a GR Hatch / Gen4 Legacy/Outback wagon kind of guy myself but this is definitely one of the cleanest examples I’ve come across. Bonus points for the dish!

And because I’m a photog at heart, curiosity demands that I ask you what camera/lens combo you used!

It is an XT so there’s an intercooler under the scoop haha. Thanks for the love man, sick shot too of the GR, I still want a GR hatch really badly.

That’s awesome to hear and this is the second car I’ve seen where airbags have gotten me interested in them.

What model (outback?) and year is your Subaru? My girl’s parents got a new outback recently but the front profile of this looks way better to me.

This is a 2006 Forester XT, it’s a limited but I swapped Sports tail lights and a front bumper on to it because they look a little better to me!

It’s a JDM V7 STI (bugeye STI), slightly bigger than the OEM Forester one, makes the front end look a little more aggressive.

Ohh, neat! I *think* mine was f6.3 @ 54mm, APSC. (uncropped image below)

Always had a thing for Foresters, though to be fair the MCM guys did fan the flames a little. Could never pick between that generation or the one that came after (Moog’s) but I will say that the former pulls off the boxy look better than the Legacy did.

Seem a few Foresters at shows where they pulled in a half-cut that was near identical in likeness and used as a trailer, but still had the full interior haha.
